-A class with 6 to 12 families. Children attend with any caregiver: Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa or babysitter, sitting in a circle actively participating with their child.
-A class that is relaxed, playful, non-performance setting while having developmentally appropriate activities that support the unique learning styles of each child.
-Mixed aged classes. Research shows that babies and toddlers learn an enormous amount by simply observing older children and older children will get the unique chance to be a leaders in class. Parents will be excited because they can attend class with their children of all ages.
-Children learning at their own pace. Whether your child is a high energy mover or a quiet observer, they are absorbing every detail in class. Each child is encouraged to learn and respond in their own unique way.
-Parent Education “moments” throughout class guiding families through their child's basic music competence development.
-A 45 minute class once a week. The spring, winter and fall semesters run for 10 weeks and the summer session run for 6 weeks.
-A new song collection each semester, where your child can attend class for 3 years without ever repeating a song collection.
-11 to 12 musical activities per class including: small and large movement activities, fingerplays, original and traditional folk songs as well as songs from different cultures around the world.
-Songs are sung in different meters and tonalities to open up you and your child's world to songs and rhythms outside of the norm.
-An opportunity to make music with egg shakers, sticks, drums, maracas, parachutes, balls and more.
-Ritual activities each week, which children need and love, including a Hello song, instrumental jam session, lullaby and a Goodbye song.
-A unique activity where the entire family can participate together, in class and at home. Families look forward to this time that is set aside for eachother each week!
